Red Wagon Management’s Role: Conference Manager

Description: GeoWeb is held annually at SFU’s Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue in Vancouver, BC. GeoWeb is concerned with the reciprocal intersection and impact of the Web and Geo, as well as the social, technical and business implications of that exchange. GeoWeb is a very important event, more than any other on the geospatial calendar, offering the opportunity to visualize and contribute to the direction of the industry.

The GeoWeb conference reflects the breadth, evolution and growing maturity of the GeoWeb and is one of the only conferences focusing exclusively on the convergence of GIS and the Internet, and the economic potential associated with the convergence of XML, web services and GIS. The GeoWeb conference welcomes both public and private organizations to meet, discuss and learn about today’s most innovative geospatial technologies.

Guest speakers have included: Michael T. Jones (Founder of Google Earth) and Vinton Cerf a “Father of the Internet.”
